While the whole of the Netherlands was in Orange spheres today because of King’s Day, it made New Orange announced that the contract with Daryl van Mieghem has been extended by one season. The attacker is FC Volendam’s top scorer with seven goals
The 33-year-old Van Mieghem had a fixed number of matches in his contract in which the expiring contract would be extended. That number was reached against SC Cambuur.
Van Mieghem is working on his second season in the fishing village. In the year of promotion he was involved in 27 goals: sixteen assists and eleven goals he made himself. In total, he has now played 328 matches in professional football for Heracles, Telstar, Excelsior, De Graafschap and FC Volendam, respectively.
