Hall and Oates (“Maneater”) are in litigation. John Oates was hit with a lawsuit and a restraining order.
Daryl Hall, co-founder of the group Hall & Oates, has sued his former bandmate John Oates. As CNN reported, Hall’s lawsuit against Oates is listed as an individual and Oates’ trust as a “contract/debt dispute.”
Hall & Oates are at loggerheads
However, court documents detailing the case are sealed, Philadelphia Magazine reported. On Friday (November 17th), the court granted Hall’s request for an interim injunction, which will come into force on November 30th, according to the files.
Such an order is usually issued in a commercial dispute to prevent one party from harming the economic interests of the other party.

The two musicians are known as members of the rock duo Hall & Oates of the same name. In the early 1980s, Oates, now 75, and Hall, 77, enjoyed great success with hits like “Private Eyes” and “Maneater.”
