Daryl Hall presents six new, previously unreleased titles and 24 of his solo songs on his new record “BeforeAfter”. It will be released on April 1st.
The American singer became known through the pop duo Hall & Oates with John Oates, albums such as “Abandoned Luncheonette”, “Voices” and “Change Of Season” are among their biggest hits. In 2016, Hall was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In addition to his work as a duo, the now 75-year-old singer has also produced five solo albums. The artist now offers us a “Best Of” from this in his retrospective, which in his compilation “certain phases [seiner] Career compressed” reflects. The record also reflects Hall’s “brilliant” ability to work with a wide variety of artists, according to the press release.
In addition to King Crimson’s Robert Fripp, Dave Stewart and Tom Wolk were also involved in the production. The album also features six tracks created on Hall’s online show Live from Daryl’s House.
The re-release of Hall’s work coincides with the start of his first solo tour in ten years. This time, however, it does not take him to Germany. The album will be available as a double CD and digitally, pre-orders are already possible. In addition to “BeforeAfter”, Hall & Oates’ “Marigold Sky” will also be re-released at the end of March.
