The French dairy group Danone wants to close its factory near Barcelona and has initiated a dialogue process with employee representatives in Parets del Valles. The manufacturer of yoghurt, mineral water and baby food said that 157 employees were affected. There is no date for a possible closure yet, as the dialogue process has only just begun, a spokesman said on Friday.
The group wants to strengthen the competitiveness of its brands and increase industrial efficiency.
