Most participants came from Belgium and the Netherlands, although this year the Golden Meeuwen medal went surprisingly to Anna Brywald from Denmark. Her impressive imitation of the coastal bird eventually convinced the jury the most.
The Championship in Adinkerke is becoming more popular every year, with more and more participants and spectators. That makes it increasingly difficult for the jury to indicate the winner: just when the public thinks he knows who will take the title, a surprising turn often follows.
This year there were 20 individual participants from fourteen countries in Herberg de Lost Gernoaze.
