Daniel Ricciardo will appear as an expert on US television at the Canadian Grand Prix. The Australian, who was a regular driver in Formula 1 from 2011 to 2022, is part of an “alternative” transmission.
The Red Bull reserve driver will demonstrate his Formula 1 expertise in an “alternative” broadcast and guide the fans through the show together with Canadian comedian Will Arnett. There will also be such transmissions at the races in Austin and Las Vegas.
Interesting: The show runs parallel to the actual TV broadcast of Formula 1 on another channel on US television. During the show, Ricciardo and Arnett will be supported by prominent guests who will accompany the viewers through the race. “Will and I will have a lot of fun on the show,” says Ricciardo, showing that the alternative should be much more relaxed than the actual transmission.
“It should feel like watching Formula 1 with your friends,” the Australian continued. “We’re going to have some special guests and lots of laughs. Maybe we can bring fans closer to the sport they love.”

He says: “The more I learn about Formula 1, the more I get infected by the virus. The opportunity to work with Mika for my podcast was fantastic. I’m really looking forward to the show with Daniel. We and the fans will have a lot of fun.” The US broadcaster “ESPN” is hoping for high ratings from Ricciardo’s popularity through the Netflix show “Drive-to-Survive”.
In order to pick up the American audience, a well-known format will serve as a model. Football star Payton Manning has his own Monday NFL show, which he produces with his own company, Omaha Productions.
