Tennis pro Daniel Altmaier is in the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Mallorca after the next convincing performance.
The 23-year-old from Kempen won his round of 16 against eighth-seeded Argentinian Sebastian Baez 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 on Wednesday. In the round of the last eight he now meets the Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.
Altmaier is the only German player to serve on the Balearic island, where things are going much better for him than in the grass season so far: he failed in the first round at the tournaments in Halle and Stuttgart.
