“Invigorate internal competition”
VfL Osnabrück has presented the seventh new signing for the coming season. Goalkeeper Daniel Adamczyk comes to the third division from 1. FC Köln’s second team, where the 19-year-old completes the goalkeeper trio of Philipp Kühn (29) and Laurenz Beckemeyer (22). Adamczyk is leaving his hometown of Cologne for the first time; he had been trained at “Effzeh” since 2014. He also went through the U15 to U18 Germany.
“Daniel Adamczyk is a highly talented goalkeeper with a very strong mentality and attitude. He meets our requirement profile for the open goalkeeper position. Together with Philipp Kühn and Laurenz Beckemeyer, he should not only keep the training quality high, but also stimulate internal competition,” explained sports director Amir Shapourzadeh. Adamczyk’s license player contract with FC originally ran until the summer of 2023, but neither club announced a possible transfer.
