Accused of rape Dani Alves the trial ended on Wednesday in Barcelona.
On Wednesday, Alves was heard in the trial, when the defense attorney Inés Guardiola asked him questions. Brassifutari swore his innocence and said that the woman never refused sex.
The events take place in a nightclub called Sutton in Barcelona on December 30, 2022, where, according to the prosecutor, Alves forced a 23-year-old woman to perform a sexual act.
– If he didn’t want it, he could have left. I’m not a violent man, Alves said.
Alves then began to cry when Guardiola asked how he found out about the woman’s criminal complaint.
Earlier in the trial, the owner of the Sutton nightclub was heard, according to whom Alves has been a regular customer of the restaurant. According to the owner, on that night in question, Alves “drank or took something that caused him to be in an unusual condition.”
Alves said that during the evening he drank a couple of bottles of wine, a few shots of whiskey and a gin and tonic with his friends before some of the group headed to the reserved VIP room in Sutton at 2:30 in the morning. According to him, the woman was proactive when he started dancing with her in the nightclub.
According to the woman, Alves hit her several times after she refused oral sex and then raped her.

On Wednesday, the trial also showed a video recording by the Catalan police, in which the alarmed woman said that Alves had behaved violently towards her.
According to the information, the police camera had been turned on by accident. However, it was decided to use it as one piece of evidence in the case.
In earlier interrogations, Alves’ account of the course of events has changed.
– I didn’t tell about the oral sex at first, because I didn’t want the cheating to be revealed to my girlfriend.
On Wednesday, the resolutions of both lawyers were heard. The woman’s lawyer Ester García demands that Alves be sentenced to 12 years in prison for rape. According to García, the woman’s story has been consistent from the beginning. The prosecutor has previously demanded nine years. Both demand compensation of 150,000 euros for the woman.
The defendant’s lawyer demands that Alves be acquitted of the charges or, alternatively, a one-year prison sentence and 50,000 euros in compensation for the woman.
Now the matter is in the hands of the Barcelona judiciary.
