The 58-year-old driver was injured in an accident involving a dangerous goods truck in southern Brandenburg.
The accident happened on Saturday on the state road 62 between Hohenleipisch and Staupitz (Elbe-Elster) for an unknown reason, reported a spokesman for the situation service of the Brandenburg police. The driver was taken to a hospital by paramedics.
The transporter was loaded with hydrocarbons, which the rescue workers pumped into a containment tank, the spokesman said. The L 62 was closed during the rescue measures.
Details of the accident were not initially known.
