The people in Berlin and Brandenburg have to be prepared for local ice and light snowfall.
The Wednesday mornings starts in both federal states initially very cloudy with light frost, in the south of Brandenburg there may be snowfall, as the German Weather Service announced on Wednesday morning. According to the DWD, up to five centimeters of fresh snow are expected by Wednesday morning, especially between Fläming, Elbe-Elster Kreis and Niederlausitz.
The snowfall is expected to intensify over the course of the day and can spread to Berlin. According to the DWD, there may be temporary smoothness due to slush. In the north between Prignitz and Uckermark there is mostly no precipitation during the day. The maximum temperature is up to four degrees.
It will remain cloudy on Thursday night. According to the DWD, there may be snowfall again. The nighttime lows are between zero and minus two degrees.
On Thursday it will remain cloudy but mostly dry.
