Dak Prescott reacts to the Cowboys’ all-around shot

In their bye week, the Dallas Cowboys denounced the harsh – and in their eyes, exaggerated – criticism of Dak Prescott. The NFL professional now referred to the media scolding without adding further fuel to the fire.

From the Cowboys camp, head coach Mike McCarthy and linebacker Micah Parsons recently vehemently advocated for Prescott. The latter said in his podcast that he was “sick of people destroying my quarterback.”

Prescott was asked about Parsons’ statements before Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams and initially explained that it “doesn’t really matter” what outside people say.

At the same time, he admitted that he was definitely aware of the criticism. “It’s hard to miss. I try to miss a lot of it. But it’s hard to miss,” Prescott reiterated. The support from his own team is therefore not inconvenient for him.

“Of course, as a teammate, I appreciate it when someone else stands up for me. But I’ve been in this organization for eight years and whether you complain about it or not, it won’t stop,” the signal caller explained.

NFL: Head coach recognizes Dak Prescott’s emotional strength

Prescott therefore takes the ongoing criticism of himself lightly. “I enjoy it. Because when things go our way and we win this thing, everything becomes a lot nicer. Say what you want. We’ll go out there and do it.”

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy highlighted this emotional power last week when he criticized the coverage of Prescott.

“The way he’s built from the start, his physical abilities are obviously outstanding. But what he has compared to the other 31 [Starting-QBs] mentally and emotionally is unique,” said McCarthy.
