Contemporary streetwear meets cultural heritage: Daily Paper is a young fashion and lifestyle brand based in Amsterdam. Inspired by the African roots of the founders, the label is known for its ready-to-wear collections and accessories for men and women.
origins
The story of Daily Paper began in 2008 when three childhood friends Hussein Suleiman, Jefferson Osei and Abderrahmane Trabsin shared a love of music, art, fashion and culture and regularly published articles on their blog Daily Paper. Not long after, they began printing their blog’s logo on t-shirts and occasionally selling them.
The eponymous brand was founded in 2012 with the aim of celebrating their African culture with modern staple pieces for men.
development
The brand quickly became well known. In 2015, Daily Paper launched its own women’s line alongside the men’s collection. With two collections per year, the label presents timeless designs and modern cuts in combination with traditional African elements, prints and colors.
Daily Paper regularly collaborates with photographers, musicians, artists and other brands such as Adidas and Havaianas to develop new products.
Current
Today Daily Paper is one of the fastest growing designer brands on the European market. The collections are available online worldwide on its own website dailypaperclothing.com and in the three Daily Paper flagship stores in Amsterdam, London and New York. The label is also available at some of the world’s leading luxury retailers such as Selfridges, Browns, Galeries Lafayette and Farfetch.
