The Mediahuis company has been hit by a long -term malfunction. As a result, Van het Noorden, De Leeuwarder Courant and the Friesch Dagblad, among others, no paper newspapers appear today. The digital editions of these newspapers are currently not available.

According to the editors of the Mediahuis newspapers, the culprit is an hour-long network failure, which made it ‘impossible to work last night and tonight’.

“Even sending e-mails turned out not to be possible,” reports the editor-in-chief of Dagblad van het Noorden. To compensate for readers, articles on the website of the newspaper can be read temporarily without a payment wall.

Van de Telegraaf, also part of Mediahuis, will appear today a digital version. In some parts of the country, subscribers receive an incomplete version of the paper newspaper.

“We have done our utmost with the resources we had at our disposal to deliver the best possible newspaper, but realize that it is not the quality that you are normally used to from us,” writes the editorial staff of De Telegraaf to the subscribers.

The Flemish newspapers of Mediahuis are also affected by the technical problems. With many subscribers to Het Nieuwsblad, De Standaard, Gazet van Antwerpen and Het Belang van Limburg, especially in West Flanders, the paper newspaper does not fall or in an adapted form.
