Denise Betsema achieved a good result at the Superprestige. The cyclocross rider from Texel came second this afternoon in Merksplas, Belgium. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado crossed the line first.
With her victory, Alvarado takes over the lead in the general classification from Betsema from North Holland. They have the same number of points, but Alvarado has won one game more. The cyclist from Oudeschild eventually finished 18 seconds behind Alvarado. Inge van der Heijden was third.
On Sunday, Betsema has a new chance for a victory. She will then compete at the World Cup in Overijse, Belgium.
