A 23-year-old man from De Schiphorst suffered serious brain injuries during the night from Saturday to Sunday due to an unknown cause.
The victim cycled from the Concours Hippique in Veeningen to his house in the Schiphorst on Saturday night, July 17, and arrived around 2 a.m. It later became clear that the man was seriously injured.
He is now in hospital and is unresponsive. Police do not yet know how the man was injured and are seeking witnesses.
