A cyclist was hit by a car on Asserstraat in Rolde at the end of the afternoon. According to a bystander, the victim was trying to cross when something went wrong.
Ambulance workers took care of the cyclist and took him to hospital. An air ambulance with medical specialists landed in Rolde to provide assistance. There were reportedly two people in the car. Both escaped unscathed.
It is not known how serious the victim’s injuries are. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
