A cyclist was injured around 6.30 pm on Friday evening after falling from the open Prinsenbrug in Haarlem onto the road surface. The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, a police spokesman said.
Several people witnessed the accident. Victim support is available for them. The cause of the accident is currently still under investigation. Pending this investigation, the Prinsenbrug is therefore closed to traffic until further notice.
Police are still looking for witnesses who witnessed the accident. They are kindly requested to contact the police.
