A cyclist was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Zwiggelterweg near Hooghalen this afternoon. The victim was taken to hospital. Among other things, a trauma helicopter landed to provide assistance.
The condition of the injured person is unknown. During the fall, the cyclist would have ridden on the roadway, instead of the bike path. The reason for this is unclear. The Zwiggelterweg is temporarily closed due to the accident.
