Cyclist David Dekker makes the switch from Jumbo-Visma to the French Arkéa-Samsic on January 1. The 24-year-old sprinter, son of former Drenthe rider Erik Dekker, has been riding for the Dutch formation since last year.
,,I am looking forward to joining the Arkéa-Samsic team”, he explains on the website of his new team. “It’s a new challenge, in a new environment. I have confidence in my abilities and I want to get results.”
Dekker is still waiting for his first professional victory. He did achieve a number of places of honour, including two second places in the UAE Tour.
