Cyclist Cees Bol has to look for a new team now that the French team B&B Hotels is in need of money. Former rider Pineau was busy raising no less than 15 million euros in sponsorship money to save the team, but that did not work out. On Friday evening he indicated that the riders may look for another team.
Last summer it was announced that the North Hollander would make the switch from Team DSM to the French team. He would do that together with fellow provincial Ramon Sinkeldam. The latter already has another team. He will ride for the Belgian Alpecin-Deceuninck for the next two years.
Sprint gun Mark Cavendish had also given his word to B&B Hotels. Together with Cees Bol, among others, he is therefore looking for a new employer.
