The police reported three serious bicycle accidents on Friday.

Senior (81) crashes into smart door

According to witnesses, an 81-year-old man was riding his bike at around 12:50 p.m. on Harzer Strasse in the direction of LohmĂĽhlenstrasse (Treptow) when a Smart driver (21) opened the door.

The senior hit the door and fell, injuring his face and one hand. He came to the hospital.

Cyclist drives on vans

A 24-year-old was driving along Halskestrasse in the direction of Munsterdamm (Steglitz) around 1:50 p.m. on Friday when she suddenly ran into a van parked on the side of the road without braking.

As a result of the impact and the fall, the cyclist sustained injuries all over her body and was taken to a clinic. How the accident happened is still unclear.

Cyclists (83) crash into traffic signs

Around 4:20 p.m., a man (83) rode his bike on the cycle path on Minna-Todenhagen-Strasse in the direction of Rummelsburger Strasse. Then he is said to have tried to overtake another person and crashed into the pole of a traffic sign. He broke his hand in the process.

Both the mast and the bike were undamaged. The man was taken to the hospital.
