Cyclist (70) seriously injured after collision with truck

The accident happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Dronckaertstraat with the N58. A truck hit a woman on an electric bicycle for an unknown cause. She suffered serious head injuries. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition. Her condition is now said to be stable.

A traffic expert from the public prosecutor’s office is investigating what went wrong.
