A woman (61) from Geldrop was seriously injured in Mierlo on Friday afternoon when she was hit by a motorcycle on her bicycle. The victim was taken to the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital in Tilburg. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Geldrop, is slightly injured and will be questioned.
The accident probably occurred when the cyclist crossed the road from the Rederijlaan, but the exact circumstances are being investigated, the police reported to Omroep Brabant.
A 112 correspondent heard from witnesses that the motorcyclist drove fast and did dangerous antics. Parts of the bicycle ended up in the driveway of a house dozens of meters away.
