A cyclist was seriously injured on Lunetstraat in Breda on Saturday night. The victim collided with a taxi van.
The collision took place around 4:15 a.m.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, several emergency services came to Lunetstraat. An air ambulance landed at the KMA. The fire service helped to resuscitate the victim, a 112 correspondent saw.
The cyclist, a 23-year-old resident of Breda, was taken to a hospital in an ambulance under the supervision of a so-called trauma doctor.
A lot of damage
The street was closed for emergency services. The cause of the collision is being investigated.
“The taxi bus sustained a lot of damage,” said the 112 correspondent.
