Cycling, Tour de France: O’Connor has to give up

Last year’s fourth-placed Ben O’Connor gave up early due to injury at the 109th Tour de France.

As his team AG2R Citröen announced on the rest day, the Australian is struggling with a muscle injury in the right buttock muscle.

O’Connor is the second failure of the French team after teammate Geoffrey Bouchard, who tested positive for the corona virus on Saturday.

This means that 164 of the 176 drivers who originally started are still in the race. All Germans are still there.
