The German cyclist Liane Lippert finished second at the Flèche Wallonne.
She finished five seconds behind Demi Vollering of the Netherlands. Third was Gaia Realini from Italy. The journey went over 127.3 kilometers through the province of Liège in Belgium on Wednesday (04/19/2023). The notorious “Wall of Huy” had to be climbed three times, including the last few kilometers.

Vollering reaches for the Ardennes Triple
Vollering already had the Amstel Gold on Sunday (04/16/2023). Race won. A week later, she can compete in the last spring classic, Liège-Bastogne-Liège make the so-called Ardennes Triple perfect. “It’s a tough race, but it suits me”said Vollering from Team SD Worx after winning the Flèche Wallonne.
Lippert finished 15th in the Amstel Gold Race.
