Cycling, Gran Camiño: Vingegaard’s comeback is under the snow. Stage canceled with 19km to go

Stage neutralized with three riders, including the Italian Moscon, in the break. Tomorrow Tui-A Watch of 184.3 km

The first stage of the Gran Camiño stops with 19km to go. The 188km Muralla de Lugo-Sarria was first neutralized and then canceled with a few kilometers to go due to heavy snowfall on the course. Throughout the stage the riders encountered a very cold until the decision of the jury. At the time of the stop there were 3 riders in the breakaway: Gianni Moscon (Astana), the Austrian Sebastian Schönberger (Human Powered Health) and the Spanish Vicente Hernaiz (Radio Popular-Paredes-Boavista).

The last yellow jersey

The first stage of the small Spanish stage race represented the first outing of the season for the Dane Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane, last winner of the Tour de France, will use this race to perfect his preparation in view of the Paris-Nice (March 5-12) where he will meet Tadej Pogacar, the Slovenian with whom he dueled in the 2022 Tour. Tomorrow we start again with the second stage, Tui-A Guarda of 184.3 km.
