Still Elisa Longo Borghini, more and more Elisa. The Piedmontese of Trek-Segafredo, also a great protagonist of the World Championship in Wollongong, dominates the Giro dell’Emilia on the very hard uphill finish of the San Luca: for her it is the third success after those of 2015 and 2016. Behind her, the American Veronica Ewers (Ef) and the Venetian Sofia Bertizzolo (Uae); fourth was the Cuban Arlenis Sierra. For Longo Borghini it is the 34th victory of her career, her fifth season: a magical 2022, culminating in her triumph in the second edition of the Paris-Roubaix women. Then the Women’s Tour in Great Britain (with one stage) and the time trial Tricolore.
