The hacker group Lapsus $, which has spectacularly sunk its nails into Nvidia, has hit a new money-rich target. Hackers say they have heightened South Korea’s pride, Samsung, and robbed heaps of valuable and sensitive material from there.

TechSpot says hackers have leaked 190GB of Samsung’s secrets, including the encryption keys and source code used by the company.

The following vx-underground, which followed blackmail malware and related hacker groups, tweeted about Samsung’s rise.

According to the hackers, the data leak includes the source code for each trusted application that is installed on all Samsung devices, as well as the very carefully guarded source code of chip maker Qualcomm.

The data leak also includes the algorithms used for biometric authentication and the source code of the Samsung Accounts login service.

In Nvidia’s case, Lapsus $ openly blackmailed a techno giant. In the case of Samsung, there is no information on what motivation the hackers have had.

Samsung has not yet commented on the matter.
