CWF receives children’s fashion license for the Hugo brand

The Metzingen-based fashion group Hugo Boss AG has expanded its license partnership with the French textile manufacturer Children Worldwide Fashion (CWF): In the future, the children’s fashion specialist will not only design, manufacture and market kidswear collections for the main brand Boss, but also for the Hugo label.

The new Hugo Kids line is aimed “at boys and girls aged four to 16 with a focus on teenagers,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday. The design will correspond to Hugo’s current women’s and men’s collections. Starting next December, the label will be launching two seasonal kidswear collections each year.

CEO Daniel Grieder explained the background to the expansion of the range: “Our ‘Claim 5’ strategy is broad, because we want to grow across all regions, touchpoints, brands and product areas,” he explained in a statement. “We are very pleased that with CWF we have the right license partner at our side to exploit the full potential of Hugo in the kidswear sector as well.” The French textile manufacturer has been “the European market leader in the licensed production of luxury children’s fashion for more than ten years years a proven and competent partner” from Hugo Boss, stressed Grieder. The company is now looking forward to “further expanding this successful cooperation with the ‘Hugo Kids’ license”.
