It is therefore from this relationship that we must start to understand which cut is the most suitable” explains Tommaso Incamicia, Fonder of My Place Studio in Milan.
Also because not all curls are the same. If we wanted to divide them into categories, the first would be that of wavy hair then with light waves. Then follow the real curls, which in turn are distinguished according to the degree of elasticity and circumference. Finally, the so-called coily curls, i.e. those with a very fine structure and a very small circumference and an S-shape.
No to even curls, yes to scaling
Starting from the type of hedgehog, we decide on the cut that enhances it to the fullest: “For really curly hair, I do not recommend all even cuts. The structure of the curl is in fact full and heavy compared to smooth hair. Equalizing the hair in length means not enhancing it because it tends to open completely completely losing its shape»Explains the expert.
It is therefore better to focus on scaled cuts, or at most semi-even, and tending towards the long: «La scaling is always suitable for XXL hair that is done outside the hair or inside to thin it out “.

Short, medium or long? The lengths of curly hair
The medium and short lengths are among the most suitable: «Typical of the seventies, they are perfect for focusing attention on the structure of the hair itself. In particular, they are ideal if the curl is very fine and small or if the hair is thick and forms a very soft wave“.
Finally, long curly hair is difficult to manage and require one specific hair routinewith masks and creams that help maintain the hydration of the stem.
