The news of the death of Cüneyt Arkın (85), one of the legendary names of Turkish cinema, shocked everyone. The will of the master artist, who lost his life despite all efforts, came to light in the hospital where he came by ambulance due to his heart stopped.
Cüneyt Arkın fell ill last night and was treated in a private hospital in Beşiktaş, Ulus. His wife Betül Cüreklibatır and her relatives came to the hospital. The 85-year-old actress died here.
The death of Arkın, who left his mark on Turkish cinema and starred in hundreds of films, shocked everyone, especially his family and close friends. It turned out that Arkın, who had previously participated in Bilal Özcan’s ‘Language Between Us’ program, announced his will during the conversation.

Stating that he never made any investments with the money he earned, the master said, “We did not appreciate money or fame. We did not do anything in a shop. I do not know if I live too long, I may stay in misery or die. You will either work or money will come from somewhere. Only I have a habit inherited from my father, He used to say, ‘If you earn 3 cents, you will save a penny.’ I saved it,” he said.
“However, we didn’t make an investment, we didn’t do it wisely,” said Arkın. “How long does the ready-made money last? It’s a good thing I saved it. I trusted the house I live in Levent. When I sold it, we could have a small place to bury our husband and wife.”
The master artist, his words; He concluded, “We would live with the remaining money. They declared it a protected area. So if my house is 5 liras, you cannot sell it for 1 lira, because now the buyer cannot do anything. There is only one thing. I am a villager, I like to cope with difficulties…”

Speaking about his will, Arkın said, “I wanted to be buried next to my horse Hasretim. But then I was afraid that it would be misunderstood. I said, ‘Bury me next to my parents’.”

It has been learned that a ceremony will be held for Arkın at Atatürk Cultural Center on Thursday at 10:00 and that the master actor will be sent off on his last journey after the funeral ceremony to be held at Teşvikiye Mosque after the noon prayer.
