Within the framework of the national date, from 12 noon to 8 pm, the Cultural Center May 25, the Mataderos Fair and the Usina del Arte have a free programming that includes gastronomic proposals, musical shows, folk dances and regional cooking classes. There will be art workshops for boys and girls: creation of garlands; realization of NOA vessels with anthropomorphic figures, and makeup with national colors.
At 12 noon, Mate Dulce will be at Usina del Arte: a puppet show for the whole family, from the group Tight rope Theater, whose protagonist is the gaucho Abelardo. And at 13, the sommelier Marcela Rienzo will do a tasting wine tasting Argentines along with a talk about the importance of wine and its origins in Argentina.
At 2:00 p.m. it will be “Cinderella anti colonial princess”, a new version of the classic story made by the Estampillas Company and inspired by Mariquita Sánchez, whose gathering brought together the main characters of the time in the midst of the revolutionary climate.
The musical programming will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Las Rvinas, and at 4:00 p.m., JUliana Lopez May and Chula Galvezthey will give a cooking class to learn how to make vegan lentil stew accompanied by a reversal of the classic tart Pasta Rollwhile the boys and girls listen to readings from the colonial era.
In the CC May 25, at 4:00 p.m., the Urquiza Coral choir will sing the National anthem in the Main Hall. Then the Tango Orchestra of the City of Buenos Aires will give the show live under the direction of the teachers Nestor Marconi and Juan Carlos Cuacci, with a repertoire that includes great classics such as La Cumparsita, El porteñito and Bien milonga, among others.
At the Usina, at 5 pm there will be an exhibition and open class of folk dances in the Central Patio; and at the Cultural Center 25 de Mayo At 5:00 p.m. a snack will be shared with coffee and fried cakes. At 6:00 p.m. will be the inauguration of the Green Room and at 8:00 p.m., The Villurqueros they present the play Margarita in the Tornú. At the Usina, the national day will close with Tabaleros at 7:00 p.m., and a compilation of classic folklore.
And on Sunday 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Slaughterhouse Fair (at Av. Lisandro de la Torre and Av. de Los Corrales), will celebrate the anniversary of the May Revolution with its craft and gastronomic fair, and live music and folk dance shows with great references of the genre and a closing led by Peteco Carabajal.
