Cultural Prize De Wolden for Crisis Cross

Crisis Cross in Veeningen has won the Cultural Prize of the municipality of De Wolden.

Organizers of the festival Joshua de Boer and Floris van Laar received the prize last night from councilor Albert Haar. The prize consists of a check for 2,500 euros.

Last year the Crisis Cross celebrated its tenth edition. What started as a one-day festival in 2012 grew into a multi-day cross and music event.

There were a total of eight nominees for the prize, which serves as an incentive for residents, associations and organizations that shape culture in De Wolden. Art-To-Go in Ruinen and Boerendrokte from the De Karstenhoeve museum farm in Ruinerwold were among the contenders.

Since 2018, the Cultural Prize has been awarded in De Wolden, with a professional jury and a public jury alternately deciding who receives the prize. This year it was up to the professional jury. Last year the chariot game Mina Koes won.
