He just can’t stop. After two thigh operations, cult trainer Ulli Wegner (81) is actively involved in boxing again. He is now part of the coaching team of the Bielefeld professional Leon Harth (35).
Wegner prepares the cruiserweight for his fight on September 30th in Bielefeld’s Seidenstickerhalle. Wegner: “After my operations I am well recovered and pain-free. I write training plans for Leon and help with the preparation. I really enjoy it.”
Harth is satisfied: “Mr. Wegner’s knowledge is priceless. In the next few weeks I would like to come to Berlin for training. Then the coach doesn’t have to go far.”
Harth, fifth in the IBF cruiserweight rankings, is up for the WBA Continental title and the IBF International cruiserweight title.
