Cult moderator Rudi Brückner gets his own show

When the Doppelpass moderator Florian König dropped out last season, Rudi Brückner stepped in without further ado. He did a good job – and is now getting his own show.

He is back. And not as a temporary help, but as a permanent moderator. Rudi Brückner will moderate his own talk show on the TV channel “Sport1” from August 8th. This is reported by “Sport Bild” on Wednesday.

The 66-year-old had “really caught fire again” last season when he replaced the sick double pass moderator Florian König several times, as Brückner himself emphasized in “Sport Bild”.

Second division double pass is discontinued

The program should always run on Mondays at 9 p.m. and cover a wide range of topics, from “Bundesliga to Champions and Europa League to the national team”. The second division double pass, which was broadcast regularly on Monday evenings last season, will be discontinued. The last programs moderated by Hartwig Thöne will run on July 17th and 24th.

The well-known sports journalist and presenter Brückner moderated the football talk Doppelpass from 1995 to 2004 before Jörg Wontorra took over the show. Brückner lives on a farm not far from Munich – and will now be seen more regularly on TV again.
