Jan Böhmermann causes outrage in the right-wing camp with the latest episode of ZDF Magazin Royale.
“The FPÖ and its People’s Chancellor” is the title of the latest episode of ZDF Magazin Royale with Jan Böhmermann, which deals with scandals surrounding the right-wing extremist Austrian party and its candidate for chancellor Herbert Kickl. Among other things, it says that “remigration”, which was also a topic at the AfD’s Potsdam meeting, is already firmly anchored in FPÖ policy. But instead of dissecting the content of the program, many right-wing populists online are now outraged by Böhmermann’s farewell at the end of the program.
After a musical parody in the ZDF magazine Royale, Hello and Baba followed, as well as the words: “Dear 3sat viewers, please don’t forget: Don’t always bring out the Nazi club, but maybe just club a few Nazis.” With that, the moderator said goodbye a provocative program that didn’t skimp on rhetorical games. It is not surprising that the right-wing populist internet portal “Nius” around the former “Bild” boss Julian Reichelt also responded. He posted the farewell and made the following headline out of it: “Böhmermann calls for the killing of AfD and FPÖ politicians.”

The article also mentions the Duden definition of the word “culling”: “Killing farm animals in order to prevent or contain animal diseases”. For Jan Böhmermann this was probably an expected hysteria and he countered on “Having a club” could therefore also mean masturbation.
Böhmermann’s words: “INSANE! Apart from the fact that the humorless pawn catcher Julian R. apparently thinks “AfD and FPÖ” are “Nazis” – he also apparently projects his violent fantasies onto others because he simply doesn’t know the meaning of the word “culling”…”
Chancellor candidate Kickl also did not want to follow the call for masturbation and instead posted: “Böhmermann calls for the killing of FPÖ politicians.” His conclusion: “Simply disgusting”. Jan Böhmermann’s fans celebrate the satirist for the rhetorical spectacle: The fact that the FPÖ and AfD feel addressed in this context is remarkable – after all, “Nazis” were mentioned here.
