Team Vitality is entering the new Counter-Strike season with fundamental changes: In the future, the team will start with a long-standing Astralis trio.
“Since our entry into CS: GO we have worked to get to the top and develop the best talent that France has to offer. Now it is time to think internationally,” said e-sports director Fabien ” Neo “Devide in an announcement.
With Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Emil “Magisk” Reif, two players and coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen join Vitality’s line-up. Dupreeh and zonic had been part of Astralis since it was founded in 2016, but, like Magisk, had left their former team at the end of their contracts at the turn of the year. At Vitality they replace three Frenchmen around Richard “shox” Papillon, who joined Team Liquid.
For the first time, Vitality no longer provides a purely French-language list. The change signals a broader trend in the CS: GO scene: G2 had already embarked on this path in 2019, and after years with a purely Swedish team, Fnatic is now competing with a mixed line-up.
