The candidate for mayor of La Matanza and wife of the leader of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico, Patricia Covered, launched an advertising spot for the elections, in which he mocks his opponent and current mayor fernando espinozamaking him “cry”, to the rhythm of a classic by Cristian Castro, “The roses cry”, but reverted to: “Cries Espinoza”.
“Espinoza cries, because ‘la Colo’ is already here”, says the spot, referring to Cubría’s nickname. And he continues: “Espinoza cries, Cubría mayor sees it coming. And among other things, Magario takes a remis…”referring to the lieutenant governor of the province of Buenos Aires Verónica Magario, Espinoza’s partner and former manager of La Matanza.
According to Cubría’s environment, “the song is a communication piece to bring the message closer” that “reflects the state of abandonment of La Matanza, the little commitment of a mayor who does not even live in his district.”
