Norway’s crown princess Mette-Marit, 49, has fallen ill with the coronavirus. The court is informed that the crown princess is suffering from the usual symptoms of the corona virus.

– The Crown Princess has taken the vaccines recommended by the doctor, the palace’s communications manager Guri Varpe adds to the Norwegian Broadcasting Company.

Varpe says that Mette-Marit is under constant medical supervision as she belongs to a risk group. This is Mette-Marit’s first infection.

Mette-Marit suffers from pulmonary fibrosis, which causes According to the Health Library, among other things shortness of breath and cough. The Health Library mentions that defining the disease is however challenging, as there are many different diagnosis options.

Mette-Marit has appeared in public less and less in recent years. The health condition of the Crown Princess has worried Norwegians. The court also told that the princess will not be seen in public, as she lives a limited life due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mette-Marit and Haakon have been married since 2001. They have two children together. Firstborn Ingrid Alexandra is 18 years old and Sverre Magnus is 16 years old.
