Crowds at Blossom Park this weekend, sunny days are coming to an end

The Blossom Park in the Amsterdamse Bos attracted a lot of visitors this weekend. The Japanese cherry trees in the park are currently in full bloom and many people came to see the blossom and enjoy the beautiful weather.

The trees in the park are only in bloom for two to three weeks a year, which means that the park attracts a large number of visitors every year during those weeks. Many people come to enjoy the blossoms, take pictures or even have a picnic in the park.

All those picnicking people did create a lot of waste, the trash cans in the Blossom Park were overflowing.

Because the sun has been shining the last few days, it was also lovely park weather this weekend. It seems that this weekend was one of the last sunny days for the time being, later this week the nice weather will come to an end.

Changeable and showers

According to NH Nieuws weatherman Jan Visser, it will get colder halfway through this week and it will also rain later. “From Wednesday, cold air will flow into our country. The temperatures will remain below 10 degrees in most places and there is a chance of light frost at night. The wind is constantly blowing. The light is also changeable with a chance of a few showers.”

If you still want to see the blossom in spring weather, you should act quickly; rain and frost do the flowers little good. The sun is still shining today and tomorrow and when the nice weather returns, the blooming time in the Blossom Park could just be over.
