Crowd favorite Murray fails in the second round

Crowd favorite Andy Murray was eliminated in the second round of the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon.

The two-time winner from Great Britain lost to the American service giant John Isner 4: 6, 6: 7 (4: 7), 7: 6 (7: 3), 4: 6 and was able to record his worst performance at home in the 14th participation. Don’t stop the tournament. The audience on Center Court said goodbye to the 35-year-old tennis pro with loud applause.

The 2.08 meter giant Isner served 36 aces and never gave up his serve. “It was an incredible honor to play against him on this pitch,” said the 37-year-old. “It was one of the greatest moments of my career.” Isner now meets Jannik Sinner from South Tyrol in the third round.

The British fans had suffered a heavy loss in the tournament before. Ten-seeded US Open champion Emma Raducanu lost to France’s Caroline Garcia 3-6, 3-6.
