Crow works itself into nests: stuck in tree with fishing line

A crow ended up in a precarious position in Emmen this afternoon. The bird became entangled in a tree near the Schansvijver and had to be freed by the fire brigade.

The crow had become stuck on the island in the pond by a fishing line. That wire was wrapped around a leg and a wing. The fire brigade entered the water and cut the animal loose with long pliers.

The plan was to get the crow back to the side to further investigate the bird. But the crow thought differently: after the animal was freed, the animal went its own way and flew away.
