A cyclist was hit by a taxi driver on Eindhovenseweg in Valkenswaard, near Geenhovensedreef, on Friday night. According to a 112 correspondent, things went wrong when the cyclist wanted to cross the Eindhovenseweg.
The accident happened around midnight.
Serious head injury
The victim was taken to hospital in Tilburg with serious head injuries. Due to the seriousness of the situation, a Mobile Medical Team came to Valkenswaard by helicopter to provide assistance.
How the collision could have happened is being investigated. The road was closed for a while due to this investigation. Witnesses are heard.
