The Swede Frida Karlsson won the Tour de Ski, but in the final she worked so hard that she had to be treated by a doctor.
The Swede drove the last 10 kilometers of the Tour de Ski for a long time. In the long and strenuous final climb, however, she collapsed completely and had to let many runners pass.
But Karlsson struggled and reached the finish, also winning the Tour de Ski overall ranking, but she collapsed right after the finish line and lay motionless for minutes. A team of doctors rushed over and took care of the 23-year-old. She was unable to attend the awards ceremony.
