A large fire has raged in a field along the N34 near Drouwen. The fire brigade pulled out with several vehicles from Borger, Gieten, Tweede Exloërmond and Emmen.
The fire created a lot of smoke. Because the wind was ‘favourable’, traffic on the N34 was not affected much by the fire. On the other side of the field, Borgerderstraat was temporarily closed. It is unknown how the fire started.
The fire department lost a hose in the fire. It caught fire and caught fire.
