Crocs appoints Deanna Bratter as sustainability chief

The US shoe manufacturer Crocs Inc. has underlined its sustainability efforts with a personnel decision. On Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Deanna Bratter to the newly created position of vice president, global head of sustainability.

In this role, she is now responsible for achieving the “Net Zero” goal by 2030 and will continue to increase “efforts and results in the areas of environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG)”, explained the plastic shoe specialist . Before joining Crocs, Bratter led the sustainability and climate protection measures at the food company Danone North America as Vice President of Sustainable Development/One Planet.One Health.

Explaining her appointment, Andrew Rees, the footwear retailer’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Deanna to this important leadership role and are confident that her extensive experience and expertise will help Crocs meet its ambitious sustainability goals,” he said in a message. “Climate change is an urgent problem that requires meaningful and rapid action.
