ZAGREB/LJUBLJANA (dpa-AFX) – Croatia and Slovenia have clearly criticized Russia for the invasion of Ukraine. “We strongly condemn the Russian aggression against Ukraine,” Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic wrote on Twitter on Thursday morning. The unprovoked attack represents a serious violation of international law. Plenkovic called on Russia to stop the military attack on Ukraine immediately.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansa, made a similar statement. “Together with our NATO and EU allies, we strongly condemn Russia’s unprecedented military aggression against Ukraine,” he wrote on Twitter. At the same time, he demanded the enforcement of a no-fly zone over Ukraine./gm/DP/jha
