celebritiesWhoopi Goldberg (66) is currently under heavy fire. The actress caused anger at several Jewish organizations and individuals in the United States when she said on the TV show ‘The View’ that the Holocaust “has nothing to do with race”. Goldberg, meanwhile, apologized for her statements, but for some, that appears to be not enough.
At ABC, the network where the TV program ‘The View’ is broadcast, the anger has only increased, according to insiders. The fact that Whoopi Goldberg has apologized would not be enough to calm the mood. Some are therefore of the opinion that the actress should be fired.
Several ABC employees are therefore anything but happy with the situation, but there is also criticism at Disney. For example, people would be furious because Goldberg was not sanctioned. “Several staff members believe Whoopi has gone too far. Board members disagree with her apologizing and demanding that she retract her statements. It looks like she’s in trouble,” an insider said.
Panic
“Why does it seem like Whoopi can just get on with it when others can’t? Maybe this time it will be different”, someone wonders aloud. “A number of people at the network, including her direct colleagues, believe that she has become too controversial for the program.” Another insider said the following to the American Page Six. “This isn’t just going to blow over.”
According to rumors, the spokesmen of Whoopi Goldberg are also very concerned. “They are panicking and fearing that Whoopi has ruined her (future) career. In addition, she now also has to worry about increasing death threats.”
